The object of Student Senate is to represent study body ideas and concerns through active leadership. Membership is open to all Indian Hills students and those students taking classes through a cooperative program. Allies for Equality

The purpose of the LGBT Pride is to provide a safe, supportive environment for LGBT students, as well as heterosexual students who are in favor of gay rights. Specific goals of the LGBT Pride include educating the public on related social issues and providing a clear alternative to any and all covert and/or overt bigotry on campus or in the community. Membership is open to all enrolled students who identify themselves as homosexual, bisexual, or transgendered. Membership is also open to all students who are heterosexual but advocate the rights of the aforementioned minority groups.

Disc Golf 

The Disc Golf Club encourages members to be ambassadors for the sport of disc golf, which includes (a) learning and understanding the rules and etiquette of the sport, per the PDGA; (b) respecting the campus and its 18-hole course by abiding by the posted rules and picking up trash whenever possible; and (c) developing teamwork skills that foster a “community” mindset with regard to the sport. Membership is open to any student carrying a minimum of 6 credit hours. Scholarship funds are available.

Jazz Band

The ensemble allows students to perform an exciting array of unique vocal and instrumental versions of jazz, rhythm, and blues, Latin and popular tunes. Much of the music for the group is arranged specifically for current members. Previous experience in jazz or improvisation is NOT a requirement. The band performs several times a year for various college and community functions. Scholarship funds are available.

Science Club

The purpose of the Science Club is to provide opportunities for students to experience various scientific fields including (but not limited to) astronomy, biology, chemistry, geology, physics, and medicine in both academic and industrial environments. Specific goals are to create more interest in and understanding of science, assist students in the establishment of occupational goals, strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work, and encourage scholarship. Activities include field trips, speakers, discussions of recent scientific papers, and ongoing research projects established by members of the Science Club. Scholarship funds are available.

The objective of the Scrub Club is to advocate the profession of nursing, as well as the IHCC Nursing Program, and the college as a whole. They promote professionalism, provide scholarship, and are involved in community service. The Scrub Club promotes personal development, as well as encourages the academic success of peers. Members of the Scrub Club must be enrolled in the Nursing program. Scholarship funds are available.

Skeleton Crew Club (Radiology)

The objective of the Skeleton Crew Club is to advocate the profession of Radiologic Technology, as well as the IHCC Radiologic Technology Program and the college as a whole. The club promotes professionalism, provides scholarship, and is involved in community service. The Skeleton Crew Club will promote personal development, as well as encourage the academic success of peers. Members must be enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program. Smile Squad (Dental Assistant)

Our purpose is to raise awareness of oral health both on campus and within the community. We hold multiple fundraising events throughout the academic year plus the club participates in the Iowa Dental Association’s Annual Session, the American Dental Assistants Association and the Mission of Mercy wherever it is held in the State of Iowa each year.

Warrior Basketball Band

Made up of members of the Indian Hills Jazz Band, the Warrior Basketball band performs at all IHCC home basketball games in the Hellyer Student Life Center. This unique stage ensemble performs an exciting array of vocal and instrumental versions of rhythm & blues, jazz, Latin, and popular tunes. Scholarship funds are available.

The object of Student Senate is to represent study body ideas and concerns through active leadership. Membership is open to all Indian Hills students and those students taking classes through a cooperative program. The Student Senate is charged with planning activities and programs to meet the diverse needs of the student population.
