Focus Area: Political Science
The Political Science focus area provides an excellent foundation for transfer to a four-year institution to earn a baccalaureate degree in political science. Your courses will prepare you to recognize the historical interrelationship of political, social, and economic processes, understand historical influences on contemporary international relations, and recognize philosophical and ethical theories that have influenced political science. Career opportunities exist in government, corporate, and private sectors. Some of these include: foreign service officer, political scientist, politician, and researcher.
